 This film did the right things. The production value was on par with good TV - about like an episode of Lost. The acting was better than expected but lacking any punch. Dialog, typical for the setting, just a typical group of young kids having general fun, not too deep. The big killer to this movie is the story... plain and simple. Bible stories just rub me wrong. Noahs Arc, Passion of Christ ... just bad stories. Ben Hur, Ten Commandments ... technically good movies, just bad stories. Well, this movie does not belong on the same list as these but they all have one thing in common - weakness from a poor storyline. People doing things for reasons you don't understand does not make them endearing and does not get the audience invested in the characters. Noah, Moses, Jesus ... or as in this movie all these 'lost souls' trying to find security just are not something I can relate to. So I don't commit or care about the characters.
